Kyle, smiling, in a grey hoodie

Hello!

My name is Kyle Kamperschroer and I am a software developer in Wisconsin. I love building things I care about with people I care about.

What I’m doing right now

volley.love

I am an obsessed volleyball player and I organize leagues and tournaments as Driftless Volleyball LLC. volley.love is the software I built to make running them more enjoyable, with schedules, standings, signups and playoff brackets all in one place.

It is also available for other sports at hoops.love, pickled.love, kickin.love, slowpitch.love and bagtoss.love.

Petcast

Petcast is an app that paints a new picture of your pets every morning based on that day’s weather. Half of each month’s profit goes to an animal shelter nominated by our subscribers.

It started as an e-ink frame in my kitchen, and that version is open source.

Hyphen

I currently work at Hyphen, where we take care of the ops side of running software. Hyphen keeps apps healthy and efficient on whatever cloud you already use, so teams can spend more of their time shipping.

DreamBikes

I volunteer with DreamBikes, a nonprofit bike shop, helping out with their website.

Previously

I worked at Microsoft as a senior engineering manager with an incredible team on Azure Notification Hubs. I have also worked for SAP, Facet and Fons.

I obtained my Masters in Software Engineering and Bachelors of Computer Science, both from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.
